LIFELONG LEARNING

As we all know, the advancement of technology in this 21st century and new discoveries in

daily basis should make us aware of our need to learn new things in a daily basis. This indicates a

process called lifelong learning. First of all, what is lifelong learning? When we hear the word

'lifelong learning'  the first thing that comes across our mind is that there is no age limit for

learning. If you think that learning is something that we merely obtain by attending school,

college, university, etc then you are wrong. Learning is a thinking and mental process that

involves reflection.  This means that just by learning something new doesn't  guarantee you of

knowing what it is actually about. That is why we need to include reflection to sum up what we

have learnt. In the case of lifelong learning, every knowledge that you gain everyday regardless of

any means can be summarised as lifelong learning. This potrays that there is no end or limit for

learning and you can be learning new and new things everyday. By practising lifelong learning, I

will be able to gain knowledge that can be a stepping stone for me to achieve my dream university.
